Hiykon’s Covid-19 Journey

So with Covid-19 limiting outlets for entertainment services this year, we have been fully engaged in installations here at Hiykon Group since construction was re-opened.

This has also seen us branching out those installations to new areas. We are proud to say we are now offering AV installations for conference systems such as the one completed at Capital Compactors Limited, Barnsley. These systems are proving to be a life line for so many and are more important than ever when keeping communications open for business and social wellbeing in these strange times.

The meeting room is now up and running with the latest Philips Professional display signage solutions, Beyerdynamic OM302 microphones and Bi-amp Systems (Apart) audio system. To finally finish off the AV install will be a Logitech PTZ Pro 2 camera when stock finally arrives in the UK.

With a very happy client, even with the temporary camera, the meeting room has already made a huge difference to CC in taking their next step to be an industry leader.

Along side this we have seen some team members take on new challenges within the installation department while their normal departments are closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Everyone has risen to the task faced, when almost overnight the hire and event work in the diary was cancelled. Since then we have been busy week on week installing new or updated systems across the south of England.

All of this has had its challenges. Ensuring we keep our team and customers safe while ensuring we deliver the same high standards people expect from Hiykon. Admin staff have had changes too. Like so many, working from home has become the norm, with ‘Teams’ meetings the tool of choice.

We’re all thankful for our good health and can’t wait for when the world can open up again.
